Why am I about to be really tired? Because I have a FIVE DAY OLD PUPPY here, and he needs feeding every two hours, that's why!!!
I bet you all want pics? I bet you think I have them! Well ... I do! Yesterday I got a long email from Amanda telling me a horrible story about how she ended up with this tiny teacup chihuahua puppy. He was the only survivor of his litter, and his mama died the night he was born. The circumstances that led to that makes me want to ... something... I'm glad to share with anyone who wants to know, but I know some people don't want to know, so I won't put it right here. Anyway - she wasn't expecting to have a bottle baby, and she's going away on vacation on Saturday, and can't take him. She asked me if I could PLEASE watch him for the week she's gone. This is the part of her email that got me:
The kitten thing is more a threat than a bribe, not sure what she was thinking there... anyway, of course I said yes. When I talked to her last night, she then asked if she could throw in a kitten who was really tiny for his age (like, REALLY tiny) and didn't have anything obviously wrong other than he "keeps trying to die!" He hasn't now in about a week, so hopefully he's over that bad habit, but she wanted him watched over a bit more closely too. Of course I said yes to that, too.
So, without further ado, here is tiny Casanova, the puppy, having some dinner, while the kittens watch with interest:

Stellaluna kind of likes the puppy. Panda goes NUTS over the puppy formula. She loves to lick it off his face, and also tries to steal the bottle. Pest!

Looky the face:

I love this one. Tiny little kitten holding onto the even tinier little puppy:

And if kittens are your thing, too, you can check out my LJ for loads of kitten pics as well :)

He's REALLY cute, his name (right now) is Casanova, due to no fewer than THREE women kissing him (okay, giving him CPR) during his first half hour alive. A regular stud he is. He's black, brown, and white. Super cute.
Which comes to my point. This, was, obviously, not planned. And i leave for Mexico on Saturday. And they don't let me take puppies there. I don't know if you can, but you are my number one first choice to watch this puppy. I totally understand if you are busy, but I really don't trust anyone else like i trust you. And i LOVE this puppy. Love love love. And I'm going to worry about him the whole time. But i know you would do WHATEVER he needed.
He eats every two hours right now, but next week her can go to three hours. He comes with formula, a box, a heating pad, and TONS of cute. He acts like a little zombie, and he's super cute to watch eat. He eats well too.
Please let me know if you can watch him. I get back next Sunday, so it would be for a week. And I'll bribe you, I'm not above doing that. I'll take all your kittens when i come back and find them good homes. So you will be kitten-less.
Thank you SO much for considering this. I know it's a lot of work, but there's no one i trust more for this than you.
Amanda
